Reduction in MCI call tax

The 50 percent cut has been applied in postpaid sim card bills for the October-November period.
The cut has led to price reduction of 0910 sim cards from 1,500,000 to 1,236,000 rials.
The company’s managing director announced cuts in prices of its 0912 and prepaid sim cards are also under review.
In the past 9 months, the no of MCI subscribers has risen to 28,006,797, of which 11,374,518 are prepaid and 16,632,279 are postpaid sim card subscribers.
The number is expected to rise to 35,209,714 in the next Iranian year.
