Developed telecom network unattainable without domestic competence
telecom networks in the country without domestic potentials and competence.
Jaefar Maghsoudi, a telecom expert, told MOBNA the telecom industry as such does not require heavy investment, since the public, as the main beneficiary, have already prepared the necessary fund.
He stressed that hi-tech industries require trained personnel as well as highly competent management.
He ranked Iran as among the best in the world in the production of science, who could proceed along with developed countries in the field of telecommunication, but stressed the technology should be made indigenous, which could ultimately influence the culture.
He indicated that culture can develop with technology, and suggested the technology is presented in a pilot form prior to its full introduction into the country; this would help identify the country’s needs, and ease its assimilation.
