Government is the biggest loser in keeping high mobile import tariff

“Logical tariffs produce revenue for the government, but sometime and for some reasons the government has decided to increase tariffs which, in the end, have caused a cut in government earnings,” Assadollah Sajjadian told Mobna news agency.
“On top of that, the hasty decision has helped to lower the risk of smuggling, resulting in a hefty profit to the smugglers,” he continued.
“Ever since the introduction of the 25 percent tariff nearly all experts have indicated that the tariff would create problem for retailers and authorized importers alike and the authorities should revise their decision,” he said.
He said everyone is awaiting the 10 percent import tariff to be ratified by Article 1 Commission which the government refuses to announce, and people wonder why.
