Country’s internet adversely affected by political sanctions – IT expert
“Such disturbances couldn’t be the result of damage to the undersea cable SWM4 since it is an international cable and any damage to it could also affect many other countries,” Sadegh Soleimani told Mobna news agency.
He said Iran’s internet came via countries of UAE and Azerbaijan, and the internet waveband that was supplied through Azerbaijan had been deliberately narrowed down as a result of current political sanctions.
Repeated calls by Mobna to the Communication Infrastructure Company to verify that assumption has been to no avail.
Hassan Karimi, a CIC director had recently pledged that the disturbance would disappear by today but the problem still prevails.
