Competition Council to give views on TCI block share acquisition
“The council has not uttered a word on rejection or acceptance of the acquisition and such speculations were unlawful and subject to prosecution,” Jamshid Pajouyan told Mobna news agency.
He said, however, that at a meeting on Mar 13 the whole episode would be fully discussed.
He had earlier announced that the council’s view on the block share acquisition would be announced before the year’s end (Iranian).
Reports by the General Inspection Organization and Parliament’s Article 44 committee on TCI block share acquisition had been referred to the Competition Council for judgment on whether tender procedure was proper and fairplay had not been compromised.
The council is formed of representatives from country’s three main forces, as well as representatives from economic and scientific sectors.
On 27 September last year, 50% plus one TCI shares were sold to Mobin Etemad Consortium through Tehran bourse, the biggest trading in its history.
