National Internet services after 5th Economic Development Plan

“The National Internet access speed will be 512kb/s, which home internet users too will be able to enjoy,” Mehdi Akhavan said in a press conference.
“Web hosting of most domestic sites which are currently outside the country have to be transferred to inside the country to cut costs,” he added.
He said also that internet filtering was not among the tasks of his ministry and that was being dealt by another agency.
“The President emphasizes that all Government services are handled in electronic form which would greatly cut on Government expenditure,” he added.
