Iran’s interconnection charge unequal to neighboring countries
“The charge is normally determined by mutual agreement and would depend on population, flow of information and day’s rate. Other factors such as landline and mobile phone network traffic are also taken into account,” Gholamreza Keshtgar told Mobna news agency.
“For the reason that such charges are determined by mutual agreement they can be revised,” he added.
Recently, a fiber optic network has been established between Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait and talks are under way for similar network between Iran, Pakistan and Oman.
