Second Post Operator license issued by year end: RCRO head

“If there are qualified applicants, we hope to issue Second Post Operator license to two companies,” Mahmoud Khosravi said.
“The license framework has been approved by the RCRO commission and the compilation of Second Post Operator tender document will end soon,” he added.
“After tender document completion, a general invitation will be announced in the media for qualified companies to participate in the tender,” he said.
“The Post’s First Operator license will be carried out simultaneously with Second Operator’s,” RCRO head added.
“It would be better if the Post Office privatization takes place after Second Post Operator has started operation,” RCRO head believes.
“With the Second Post Operator inauguration and the private sector activity in this field, the services will be more competitive and, as a result, postal rates will be more affordable,” he said.
