Internet development and management center pilot phase to end this year

“The project is to be included in the Fifth Economic Development Plan,” Saeed Mahdiun added.
“It has been defined as 3 tasks in development and encouragement, internet sources management and new plans sectors. As first sector, the internet speedometer development project has been launched and users can now enjoy its benefits,” he told Mobna news agency.
“In internet sources management sector, some reports have been prepared on network condition for IP address management whose pilot phase is nearing completion,” he said.
“In the new plans sector, some works have been done but its main part will be implemented after the Fifth Economic Development Plan has been put to action,” he added.
“The project will be implemented countrywide when the pilot phase is completed,” he said.
Internet management and development project is being created by adopting South Korea’s (NIDA) project. Last year the primary core of the center was formed and some relevant projects were put on agenda, among which was reaching an agreement with the Agriculture Ministry to use rural ICT office facilities in 10,000 villages and also upgrading services in such areas to offer mechanical services in line with MATMA project.   
An agreement with the Science Ministry to develop country’s scientific network has been signed which is also implemented in line with MATMA project. MATMA’s main activity is recognizing obstacles and problems along the path of information technology development.
