Limited offer of expensive Samsung handsets on Tehran market
“The company imports a limited number of expensive Samsung handsets with valid warranties solely because there is a limited demand for them,” sales manager of Pars Microtel, authorized agent of Samsung handsets, told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
Alireza Javadi said despite mobile import tariff being cut from 60 to 25 percent there is still a large scale smuggling going on.
He said there is a significant price difference between mobile sets with and those without original warranties and consumers usually go for the latter.
Expensive Samsung mobiles, including I8510, I900 OMNIA and P520 models are on sale at 6.52, 7.15 and 4.35 million rials respectively.
