Mobile phone harassments dealt with by the operator`s subscriptions unit
“If Mobile Company of Iran, IranCell or Taliya subscribers are subjected to harassment by subscribers of other operators they should contact their operators and complete the appropriate form,” Saber Feizi told Mobna news agency.
He said, however, that only 0.1 per cent of reported harassments have turned out to be genuine.
He said genuine complaints are processed by the Judiciary after the identification of the culprit.
According to article 641 of Islamic Penal Law such offenders are subject to 1 to 6 months imprisonment.
For first time offence the phone line is deactivated for one week; second time offenders will be faced with deactivated line for three months and for third time offence the phone line is deactivated permanently and the deposit is refunded after phone bill has been settled.
