Mobile phone warranty is an empty promise in Iran

“All over in world warranty means changing product with a new one and vendors should change sold product when there is a defect,” a mobile phone vendor Ali Salarvand told Mobna news agency.
“In average between five to seven mobile phones of all brands and models refer to vendors daily to receive after sale service or to change the defecr product, but not only the mobile set itself would not be changed but also most of its components that have warranty would not be replaced by vendor,” he added.
“Since warranty is just an empty promise in Iran,” he added.  
“After sale service and warranty is very weak in Iran. You can hardly find any consumer that he or she has received mobile phone after sale service,
Salarvand said.
“The reason is that vendors believe that mobiles keypad, screen, body, battery and other parts of mobile phone can not be included in warranty. In that case what is included in the warranty then?” he said.
“There are no available on the level of consumers satisfaction about mobile phone after sale services because there arent any services to bring satisfaction,” an Information Technology expert Rasoul Aghamiri told Mobna news agency.
“Most consumers prefer to buy mobile phones that lack warranty since warranty equates rise in the purchasing price not services,” he added.
