Final “Application & Subscription” compilation pending Telecom privatization – says MTC director

Ali Hamidi, in conversation with MOBNA, said the regulations will be kept on hold until after Telecom has been privatized.
He said the ratification of the regulation by Telecom general assembly would take a long time and after Telecom privatization it may face challenges.
In the past months MTC has been making alterations to the regulation since it may help resolve most of the issues that exist in the mobile phone sector.
In the regulations, sections on postpaid SIM card deactivation, prepaid SIM card services, mobile phone vocabulary and new mobile phone services have been updated.
