Mobile phone network expansion phase-4 trial phase completed

Mohammad Ebrahim Mottale, in conversation with MOBNA, said the Fars Province portion of the project has been completed and handed over to MTC.
He added the consortium would do its utmost to complete all phases of the project in time and to the commissioner’s specifications.
The consortium, formed by 6 domestic companies, is to manufacture equipments required for 6m mobile phone lines.
The companies are: Iran Telecommunication Manufacturing Co (ITMC), Iran Telecommunication Industries, SaShiraz, Iran Electronic Components Industries, MicroMoaj and Mobile Telecommunication Technologies.
The consortium is required to manufacture 3,566 BTS, 60 BSC systems & OMC control systems, 2,255 radio links and 3,566 GSM antennas with accessories all of which to be designed and manufactured in Iran.
The contract is worth 1,680b Rial.
