Shorter Persian SMS software designer selected
to design software to shorten Persian SMS has been selected by the company
Mohammad Hussein Fallah Asghari, in conversation with MOBNA said it is possible to distinguish Persian from Latin characters on the network, but the software will separate the two entirely.
The software, to be offered shortly on Hamraah-e Avval portal, will enable subscribers, once installed on their handset, to send up to 200 Persian characters for the price of 60 characters.
The Council of Ministers has approved 89 Rial levy on 60-character Persian SMS.
Latin SMS tariff, however, has been raised from 142 Rial to 222 Rial in a bid to encourage use of Persian SMS.
