Non-received SMS messages charged
charged to the subscriber unless it is due to network failure
Vahid Sadoughi, meeting the press on Tuesday, having pledged earlier that non-received SMS messages would not be charged at all, said such messages cost the company even more, and added: “more that 20% of non-received SMS messages are as a result of full handset memory or the receiver being unavailable, though each message is paged nearly 10 times and the practice is costly and the sender should bear the cost.”
He also announced imminent introduction of software, downloadable from Hamraah-e Avval portal in the coming month, which confines 200 Persian characters into an SMS message at 89 Rial tariff.
