Competition Council’s duty is to safeguard fairplay – TCI
“The article 44 of the Constitution is clear on the Competition Council’s duties just as it is on the duties of the Radio Communication and Regulations Organization,” Davoud Zareian told Mobna news agency in reference to the claim by the Competition Council that it would control pricing in the telecommunication sector.
The president of the Competition Council had earlier said that the telecommunication market, whether it is of governmental, partially-governmental or cooperative status, would be affecting the lives of many citizens and so it was the Council’s duty to see that it was not monopolized, and to that end the Council should have a close watch on pricing practices.
