Majority of south Khorasan Province population under mobile phone coverage

“The province has thus become the first in the country and received due acclamation by the province’s governor,” Hajji-Moahammdi added.
He said the no of mobile phones active in the province now stands at 160,302.
He added that the number of landline phones in that region is over 289,000, of which 202,440 are active.
He said that the no of province’s telecom service bureaus stands at 169, and pointed out that the province has 4,373 km of fiber-optics.
