Hopes grow for mms

Telecommunication Company of Iran’s chairman of the board of directors Vafa Ghaffarian, who had initially announced the mms test trial, believes its regulation is in the final stages of preparation.
He hoped that after sorting out some technical hitches the mms service will be available to all subscribers in the next two months.
Radio Communication and Regulations Organizations’ licenses deputy Lotfollah Sabouhi had earlier announced minor amendments to the regulation by RCRO.
According to the regulation, subscribers are only permitted to use the space allotted to them.
Subscribers who transmit immoral texts or videos will have their connection deactivated for one week for first offence, and three months and permanently for further offences.
The mms tariff is 1,000 rials per message.
