50 BTS antennas will be used by operators commonly in Tehran
“Ertebate Moshtarake Shahr” is a site sharing company which is launched by mobile phone operators in order to use public places commonly to install BTS antennas and structuring Tehran telecommunication antennas.
Agents from operators are its managing boards members.
Base Transceiver Station (BTS) is a piece of equipment that facilitates wireless communication between user equipment (UE) and a network.
“Currently it is planned Mobile Company of Iran uses some of Taliyas BTS sites, and Irancell to use some of MCIs BTS sites,” Mohammad-Ali Abedi told Mobna news agency.
“Since common use of one sites by several operators needs infrastructure, a relevant regulation has been set by “Ertebate Moshtarake Shahr” company and is in final approval step,” he said.
About 2,000 BTS antennas in Tehran are owned by MCI, 500 sites are for Irancell and 300 sites owned by Taiya.
