No plan to change mobile sets import tariff: economy minister deputy

“Current 25 percent import tariff of mobile sets has not made any specific situation for mobile phone market, also no request has been asked from economy ministrys Article one commission to decrease tariff,” deputy of economy minister Mahdi Ghazanfari told Mobna news agency.
Finance ministrys Article one commission determines tariffs for commodities. 
“Increasing mobile sets import tariff was set with the aim of protecting mobile sets domestic manufacturing and decreasing it 60 percent tariff to 25 percent again was considered efficient for this target,” he added. 
“Reducing tariff of some commodities has effect on country but changing mobile sets import tariff figure only decreases and increases mobile sets smuggling,” he asserted.
