Seven domestic and foreign companies bought third mobile phone operator tender documents: RCRO

“Up to 17 September a total of seven companies have bought tender documents,” Mohammadreza Farnaghizad told Mobna news agency.
“Some companies have bought tender documents in the form of consortium,” he added.
“Buying tender documents have been welcomed well and it is expected that remained time will be enough for participants to buy documents,” he said.
“Third operator conference aiming at encouraging domestic and foreign investors to participate in this tender will be held on 23 September while documents are being sold,” Farnaghizad added.
According to the revised version of tender announcement, selling off the tender documents have started as of 13 September and will continue by 4 October. Participants can provide their documents for quality evaluating by Radio Communication and Regulation Organization up to 26 October.
It was planned before that third mobile phone operator tender document to be sold on 6 September.
Third operator license will be expired after 15 years and will be extended for two five years periods.
Third operator can attract 17 million subscribers comprise of six million calling subscribers and 11 million data subscribers.
This operator will offer 3G services and will bring competing atmosphere between mobile phone operators.
