All phone operators must pay capacity allocation fees: official
“Numbering capacity tariff , (the legal term meaning capacity allocation fee), has been ratified by Radio Communication & Regulations Organization (RCRO) for both landline and mobile phone operators,” of the Irans telecommunication ministry, RCRO top advisor Ahmad Farhadi told Mobna news agency.
“The tariffs are compulsory for all operators whereby the annual amount for each allocated landline phone is 1,000 rials (10 cents) and for each mobile phone is 2,000 rials (around 20 cents),” Farhadi said.
He added that such numbers are allocated by RCRO to operators in blocks and operators in return pay the amounts on the basis of their license contents.
He said the new rates will come into effect after its final approval by RCRO.
Until now, the operators paid an arbitrary sum for the numbers they had been allocated, but from now on the payments will be exact and according to the book.
